Regular Season Round 8: Regatas - Comunicaciones 95-91

Bottom-ranked Comunicaciones (0-10) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to sixteenth ranked Regatas (3-4) 95-91 on Thursday evening. Regatas well out of reach of Comunicaciones shooting 100.0 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 100.0 percentage. Regatas looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Marco Giordano (183-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) who added 22 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) during the contest. American Noah Allen (201-1995, college: Hawaii) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) scored 26 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Regatas moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Comunicaciones at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Regatas is looking forward to face higher ranked Quimsa (#6) in Santiado del Estero in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Comunicaciones will play at home against Argentino (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
