Regular Season Round 12: Santurce - Lares 76-74

The most exciting game of round 12 in the BSNF took place in Santurce. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Lares (5-11) to third ranked Cangrejeras (8-6) 76-74 on Friday evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rebecca Tobin (195-1988, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Ariana Moorer (172-1991, college: Virginia) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Akela Maize (196-1996, college: NC State) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and guard Juicy Landrum (173, college: Baylor) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cangrejeras and five Lares players scored in double figures. Cangrejeras have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-6 record having just two points less than leader Manati. Lares lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Cangrejeras are looking forward to face league's leader Atenienses in Manati in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lares will have a break next round.
