Regular Season Round 13: CAO Ceres - Tucuman 92-79

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Tucuman (4-7) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked CAO Ceres (4-7) 92-79 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for CAO Ceres especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tucuman's players. Point guard Manuel Alonso (195-1999, agency: BIG) nailed a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 assists for the winning side and point guard Facundo Gago (178-1996) accounted for 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four CAO Ceres players scored in double figures. Ignacio Echevarria (195-1998) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Rayner Torres (189-2002) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Tucuman in the defeat. CAO Ceres moved-up to tenth place, which they share with GELP and Tucuman. CAO Ceres will meet at home Echague (#14) in the next round. Tucuman will play against the league's leader Ameghino (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
