Regular Season Round 7: Aguada - Urunday 74-67
Date: November 21, 2022
Rather expected game in Montevideo where 10th ranked Urunday (2-4) was defeated by eighth ranked Aguada (4-3) 74-67 on Monday. American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) fired 18 points for the winners. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) chipped in 8 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 22 rebounds and American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Urunday players scored in double figures. Urunday's coach Hector Da Pra rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguada moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Malvin. Loser Urunday keeps the tenth position with four games lost. Aguada will meet Urupan (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Urunday's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Bigua.
