Regular Season Round 9: La Union - Comunicaciones 104-83

There was no surprise in Formosa where 20th ranked Comunicaciones (1-11) was crushed by twelfth ranked La Union (5-8) 104-83 on Monday. La Union shot 60.7 percent from the field. American guard Thomas Cooper (196-1992, college: Calgary) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and his fellow American import forward Xavier Hill-Mais (202-1996, college: Oakland) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. La Union's coach Sebastian Ginobili felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American Noah Allen (201-1995, college: Hawaii) with 16 points and 4 assists and center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five La Union and four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. La Union moved-up to ninth place. Comunicaciones lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Comunicaciones will play against Ferro (#13) in Buenos Aires and hope to win that game.
