Semi-Finals Game 4: Cayenas - Taurinas 89-77

Cayenas toppled Taurinas to secure the championship series berth. Cayenas made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Taurinas turnovers. Strangely Taurinas outrebounded Cayenas 45-27 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Ivaney Marquez (181-1983, college: Grayson County) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international Yosimar Corrales (184-1990) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Yolimar Gonzalez (-1998) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Thalia Garcia (177-1994) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Cayenas and five Taurinas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
