Regular Season Round 12: La Union - Union 76-58

There was a small surprise in Formosa where sixteenth ranked La Union (4-9) beat 13th ranked Union (4-2) 76-58 on Wednesday. La Union shot 62.8 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for La Union especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Jose Campoya (195-2002) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Franco Chir (190-2002) who added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Matias Cagliero (187-2005) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Victorio Lione scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. La Union have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Union dropped to the tenth position with two games lost. They share it with Independ.O.. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Union will play against Regatas (#7) in Corrientes and hope to secure a win.
