No shocking result in a game in Florida where fifth ranked Gimnasia CR (7-4) defeated 19th ranked Platense (2-6) 66-51 on Wednesday. Gimnasia CR dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Platense's 22. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican swingman Angel Reyes (201-2002) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003, agency: Pro Sports) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Gimnasia CR players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Mariano Goicoechea (195-2004) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Juan Frigerio (170-2003) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Platense's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gimnasia CR moved-up to fourth place.
