Regular Season Round 15: Sarmiento R. - San Isidro 81-102
Date: November 24, 2022
Very predictable result in Chaco where second ranked San Isidro (11-1) outscored 16th ranked Sarmiento R. (2-10) 102-81 on Thursday. San Isidro made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. San Isidro outrebounded Sarmiento R. 47-36 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Santiago Assum (194-1998) helped adding 23 points. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Mauro Coronel (185-1983) with 5 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Marcelo Martinez (187-1996) scored 21 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for San Isidro. They maintain second place with 11-1 record having just two point less than leader Ameghino. Newly promoted Sarmiento R. keeps the sixteenth position with ten games lost. San Isidro will meet at home Echague (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sarmiento R. will play against Villa S.Martin in Resistencia and hope to secure a win.
