There was a minor upset in Mar del Plata where 15th ranked Ferro (3-8) was defeated by seventeenth ranked Penarol (3-4) 65-52 on Friday. Penarol forced 22 Ferro turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Facundo Cabrera (185-2001) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 assists and 6 steals and forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Paraguayan Maxsuel Roque with 8 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andres Fernandez (199-2002) scored 14 points. Penarol moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Ferro dropped to the seventeenth position with eight games lost. Penarol will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play against Comunicaciones (#12) and hope to secure a win.
