Regular Season Round 15: Zarate Basket - H.Americano 83-78

Very expected game when 6th ranked H.Americano (5-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Zarate Basket (9-4) 83-78 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Zarate Basket made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Agustin Brocal (191-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Swingman Damian Pineda (194-1988) helped adding 15 points. Zarate Basket's coach Juan Anglese used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Ezequiel Paz (190-2001, agency: Interperformances) with 22 points and American center Arnold Louis (201-1990, college: SSU) scored 20 points. Zarate Basket maintains second place with 9-4 record having just one point less than leader Ameghino. Loser H.Americano dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Libertad. Zarate Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. H.Americano will play against Lanus (#6) in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
