Santa Tecla dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to San Salvador's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Christopher Blake (195-1988, college: Detroit) nailed 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds. Roberto Martinez (-1991) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists and Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) added 30 points respectively for San Salvador in the defeat. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures.
