No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Regatas (5-5) beat 18th ranked Union SF (2-7) in Corrientes 90-75 on Monday. Regatas shot 64.4 percent from the field and made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. American guard Charles Hinkle (198-1988, college: American) notched 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Andres Jaime (184-2000) supported him with 15 points. Even 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) by American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) did not help to save the game for Union SF. The former international guard Juan Pablo Cantero (188-1982) added 13 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Regatas moved-up to ninth place. Union SF lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth position with seven games lost. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Union SF will play against Quimsa (#6) and hope to secure a win.
