Very predictable result when fifth ranked Minas (7-3) won against 13th ranked Fortaleza (2-8) in Belo Horizonte 79-71 on Tuesday. Minas made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game, while Fortaleza only scored six points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Shaquille Johnson (191-1990, college: Marshall) nailed 17 points and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Minas players scored in double figures.
