28 personal fouls committed by Santa Tecla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Panamanian Grant Alejandro (199-1993) chipped in 22 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. American forward Christopher Blake (195-1988, college: Detroit) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) produced a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
