Santa Tecla dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to San Salvador's 40. They outrebounded San Salvador 45-25 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Santa Tecla looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by San Salvador's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Christopher Blake (195-1988, college: Detroit) who helped to win the game recording 32 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) who added 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Roberto Martinez (-1991) responded with 30 points and 4 assists and Panamanian Grant Alejandro (199-1993) scored 23 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
