Costa Rica defeated Teclenas at home 57-50. Worth to mention a great performance of Alicia Abarca (165-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. Sara Garcia (165-1984) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Alejandra Ayala (174-1993) answered with 18 points and center Jennifer Jovel (167-1999) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Teclenas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Teclenas will play next round against Opico trying to get back on the winning streak. Costa Rica will try to continue on its current victory against UCA at home.
