The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Racing as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Racing edged second-best Ciclista in Juninense 61-59. Racing well out of reach of Ciclista shooting 95.7 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) scored 30 points (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Emilio Stucky (198-1994) chipped in 11 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Manuel Lambrisca (192-1997) with 18 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and swingman Lisandro Fernandez (194-1998, agency: BIG) scored 10 points. Ciclista's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Racing have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Ciclista at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Ciclista will play next round against Parque Sur trying to get back on the winning streak. Racing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
