A very close game took place in Formosa between La Union and Boca Jrs. Fourteenth ranked La Union (6-10) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Boca Jrs (7-4). La Union managed to escape with a 2-point win 82-80 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boca Jrs. Strangely Boca Jrs outrebounded La Union 31-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by swingman Jose Campoya (195-2002) who scored that evening 31 points and point guard Agustin Sigel (165-2002) supported him with 22 points. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 8 rebounds by forward Santino Romegialli (204-2003) did not help to save the game for Boca Jrs. Nicolas Stenta (200-2004) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for lost side. La Union moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Boca Jrs keeps the fifth position with four games lost. La Union will meet at home Riachuelo LR (#13) in the next round. Boca Jrs will play against the league's second-placed Gimnasia CR (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
