There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Penarol (5-5) won against higher ranked Argentino (6-8) in Junin 68-59 on Friday. The winners were led by guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by Luis Colon did not help to save the game for Argentino. Point guard Santiago Capelli (180-2005) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Argentino's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Penarol moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Riachuelo LR. Loser Argentino keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Ferro. Penarol will meet Union (#15) in the next round. Argentino will play against San Martin (#20) and hope to secure a win.
