The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Racing as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Racing smashed 17th ranked Parque Sur in Chivilcoy 98-56. Racing dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Parque Sur's 28. They outrebounded Parque Sur 40-20 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Racing players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Parque Sur's players. The winners were led by Luciano Ortiz (199-1999) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and forward Emilio Stucky (198-1994) supported him with 11 points and 7 assists. Five Racing players scored in double figures. Even 7 points and 6 assists by point guard Valentin Lofrano (176-1999) did not help to save the game for Parque Sur. Forward Juan Boffelli (197-1998) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Racing have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Parque Sur lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with ten games lost. Parque Sur will play next round against Dep Viedma trying to get back on the winning streak. Racing will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked La Union at Colon.
