Seventeenth-ranked Parque Sur (3-11) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Dep Viedma (8-6) in Concepcion de Urug. on Thursday. The visitors from Rio Negro managed to secure only three-point victory 97-94. However their fans expected much easier game. Dep Viedma made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Dep Viedma outrebounded Parque Sur 37-20 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Point guard Fermin Thygesen (186-1998) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 assists for the winners and Maximiliano Tabieres (198-1989) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was forward Juan Boffelli (197-1998) with 25 points and 8 assists and point guard Valentin Lofrano (176-1999) scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Dep Viedma and four Parque Sur players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Dep Viedma. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with H.Americano. Parque Sur lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the seventeenth position with 11 games lost. Dep Viedma will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Parque Sur will play against Pergamino (#10) and hope to secure a win.
