Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked UNIFACISA (5-7) lost to sixth ranked Pinheiros (8-5) in Sao Paulo 86-100. Pinheiros dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to UNIFACISA's 24. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jonas Buffat (191-2000) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Rafael Munford (195-1998, college: Augusta) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. UNIFACISA at the other side keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sao Jose and Caxias do Sul. Pinheiros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UNIFACISA will play at home against Caxias do Sul (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
