Rather expected game in La Rioja where 16th ranked Riachuelo LR (4-7) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Boca (6-7) 91-87 on Saturday. Boca made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American-Jordanian Dar Tucker (193-1988, college: DePaul) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Leonardo Mainoldi (205-1985) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Boca's coach Gonzalo Garcia used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international Eric Flor (190-1993) with 20 points and power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-1990) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Boca and five Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Boca moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Regatas. Loser Riachuelo LR keeps the sixteenth position with seven games lost. Boca will meet at home higher ranked San Martin (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Riachuelo LR will play against Olimpico (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
