There was an upset when higher ranked Obera (11-4) was outscored by eleventh ranked Ferro (8-8) in Buenos Aires 97-77 on Tuesday. Ferro outrebounded Obera 36-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Ferro looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by point guard Juan Laterza (180-1997) who scored that evening 24 points and 6 assists and swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-1995) supported him with 23 points and 7 assists. Four Ferro players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Obera. Naturalized Dominican forward Xavier Carreras (198-1994) added 12 points for lost side. Obera's coach Fabio Demti tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ferro moved-up to tenth place. Loser Obera dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
