An interesting game took place in Brasilia where higher ranked Corinthians (11-5) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Cerrado (3-13) 89-79 on Tuesday. Power forward Ruan Miranda (205-2001) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. American guard Rashaun McLemore (195-1986, college: CSUN) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Four Cerrado players scored in double figures. The former international guard Caue Borges (187-1991) produced 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Maique Tavares (210-1993) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Corinthians' coach Leo Alves rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cerrado maintains sixteenth position with 3-13 record, which they share with Rio Claro. Loser Corinthians dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
