There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Trouville (7-7) lost to tenth ranked Olimpia (5-9) in Montevideo 88-95 on Wednesday. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Marcus Thomas (191-1995, college: Rosemont) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Spanish guard Gustavo Barrera (194-1985) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Colombian forward Andres Ibarguen (200-1996, college: Angelo St., agency: Helping Ballers) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Trouville in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Olimpia maintains tenth place with 5-9 record, which they share with Urunday. Loser Trouville dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
