Regular Season Round 15: Penarol - Hebraica 72-78

Round 15 most important game was a victory of Hebraica over 5th ranked Penarol 78-72 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Penarol. It was a good game for American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-1988, college: ODU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Italian point guard Luciano Parodi (182-1994) contributed with 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Hebraica players scored in double figures. American power forward Lee Roberts (203-1987, college: Findlay, OH) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and guard Juan Zanotta (185-1995) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Penarol. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hebraica have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Goes. Penarol at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Aguada. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Olimpia.
