Regular Season Round 20: Penarol - Quimsa 79-71

An interesting game took place in Mar del Plata where higher ranked Quimsa (9-6) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Penarol (7-6) 79-71. Penarol made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) who scored that evening 27 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) supported him with 19 points. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Penarol's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points by Facundo Campos (-2005) did not help to save the game for Quimsa. Swingman Diego Collomb (192-2004) added 16 points for the guests. Penarol moved-up to eleventh place. Quimsa at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Boca Jrs.. Penarol will play against Argentino (#14) in Junin in the next round. Quimsa will play on the road against San Lorenzo (#19) in Almagra and hopes to get back on the winning track.
