Rather predictable result in Mar del Plata where eleventh ranked Penarol (8-6) beat 15th ranked Argentino (6-12) 86-71 on Wednesday. Penarol shot 65.3 percent from the field and made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Penarol outrebounded Argentino 36-16 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Nicolas Chiaraviglio (199-2004) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Ignacio Bednarek (206-2001) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Penarol's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Luis Colon with 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Martino Caporaletti scored 11 points.
