Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Nacional (9-7) edged 10th ranked Urunday (5-10) in Montevideo 70-68 on Thursday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by American center Gary McGhee (210-1988, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) who scored that evening 7 points and 19 rebounds and the other American import Brandon Nazione (202-1994, college: EMU, agency: Players Group) supported him with 18 points. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by American-Nigerian swingman Tanksley Efianayi (198-1994, college: UCF) did not help to save the game for Urunday. Naturalized Brazilian center Hatila Passos (211-1985, college: NM State) added 9 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Nacional moved-up to fifth place. Loser Urunday keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Olimpia and Urupan.
