There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Quimsa (10-7) beat their close opponent Boca Jrs (10-7) in Buenos Aires 80-71. Quimsa made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Quimsa outrebounded Boca Jrs 36-17 including a 27-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Quimsa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Estefano Zarco (-2004) chipped in 14 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Tiziano Prome (201-2005) responded with 17 points and 4 steals and Nicolas Stenta (200-2004) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Boca Jrs' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimsa moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Boca Jrs. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Boca Jrs will play at home against Olimpico (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
