Regular Season Round 24: Rocamora - La Union 76-74

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Rocamora (8-8) edged at home higher ranked La Union (8-9) 76-74 on Sunday. Rocamora dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to La Union's 20. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Franco Ferraria-Amici (191-2002) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-1999) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center German Frencia (202-1988) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Cesar Lavoratornuovo (189-1991) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four La Union players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rocamora have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. La Union lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
