No shocking result in a game when third ranked Zarate Basket (12-6) beat at home 14th ranked Pilar (6-11) 92-82 on Monday. Zarate Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Agustin Brocal (191-1997) nailed 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Lucas Andujar (185-1996) accounted for 15 points and 7 assists. Five Zarate Basket players scored in double figures. Franco Smaniotti (194-2000) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Eduardo Gamboa (189-1984) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Pilar in the defeat. Pilar's coach Roberto Pavlotsky tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Zarate Basket. They maintain third place with 12-6 record having eight points less than leader Racing. Newly promoted Pilar dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost.
