The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Sivar (3-4) by eighth ranked Santa Tecla F1 (1-6) who outscored them by 38 points 73-35. Santa Tecla F1 held Sivar to an opponent 15.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Santa Tecla F1 forced 22 Sivar turnovers and outrebounded them 46-34 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Sivar's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Santa Tecla F1 made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Gracia Flamenco (173-2000) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 9 rebounds and Adriana Rivas (175-1996) who added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Center Karol Alfaro (168-1994) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Allison Marroquin (167-2003) scored 8 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla F1 left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Sivar's third loss in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost.
