Regular Season Round 27: Zarate Basket - Racing 81-65

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Racing (15-4) on the court of third ranked Zarate Basket on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Zarate Basket 81-65. They made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Racing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Lucas Andujar (185-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Agustin Brocal (191-1997) helped adding 21 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Four Zarate Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Emilio Stucky (198-1994) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zarate Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 13-6 record having eight points less than leader Racing. Racing at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Zarate Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Racing will play at home against Del Progreso and is hoping to win this game.
