Tinguiririca's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Puerto Montt (1-3) 72-55 on Sunday. Tinguiririca forced 23 Puerto Montt turnovers. The winners were led by the former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni who scored that evening 26 points and 9 rebounds and forward Angel Galaviz (198-2000) supported him with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds by Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-1992) did not help to save the game for Puerto Montt. Felipe Bartsch (-2001) added 18 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tinguiririca (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Puerto Montt dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. They share it with Catolica and Las Animas. Tinguiririca will meet Quilicura (#9) on the road in the next round. Puerto Montt will play against Catolica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
