Regular Season Round 2: Sameji - Immortals 84-115

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santiago: Immortals and Sameji. Sameji was smashed at home by 31 points 84-115 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Immortals dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Sameji's 54. They outrebounded Sameji 57-30 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Immortals made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward James Milton (203-1992, college: Stevenson) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Angel Rivas (198-1993) chipped in 29 points and 8 rebounds. Four Immortals players scored in double figures. Forward Jonathan Aybar (206-2001, college: UNF) produced 26 points and American guard DAngelo Elliott (196, college: Temple JC) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Immortals is looking forward to face Del Patio in the next round. Sameji's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago Santiago Max.
