Very important is a road loss of second ranked Gimnasia (15-5) against ninth ranked Boca (11-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting Gimnasia was defeated by Boca in Buenos Aires 82-72. Boca players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Gimnasia's players. It was a great evening for the former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 assists. The former international point guard Franco Balbi (188-1989) helped adding 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Boca players scored in double figures. Boca's coach Gonzalo Garcia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and the former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Boca have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 11-8 record. Gimnasia at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Obras. Boca will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gimnasia will play on the road against Obras in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
