There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Trouville (9-9) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Urupan (8-10) 99-94 on Tuesday. Urupan looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Donald Robinson (192-1989, college: WVU Tech) fired 29 points for the winners. His fellow American import forward Eric Ferguson (203-1989, college: Georgia South) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Colombian forward Andres Ibarguen (200-1996, college: Angelo St., agency: Helping Ballers) produced 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Dwayne Davis (196-1989, college: Southern Miss) added 18 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trouville's coach Marcelo Signorelli tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Urupan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 8-10 record, which they share with Defensor. Loser Trouville keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Urupan will meet higher ranked Aguada (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trouville's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Nacional.
