There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Jachal (7-11) lost at home to twelfth ranked Echague (8-13) 72-54 on Wednesday. Echague outrebounded Jachal 40-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Guard Federico Gonzalez (183-1988) nailed 15 points and 8 assists for the winning side and forward Augusto Bruera (196-1998, agency: BIG) accounted for 20 points. Echague's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994, agency: BIG) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Howard Wilkerson (198-1984, college: Wofford) added 11 points respectively for Jachal in the defeat. Echague moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Jachal dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Echague will meet at home league's leader San Isidro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jachal will play against CAO Ceres (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
