Regular Season Round 3: Montmartre - Quimsa 40-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Quimsa's (4-1) road victory over Montmartre (4-2) in Catamarca 61-40 on Saturday. Quimsa held Montmartre to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for center Andrea Ledesma (182-1996) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Naturalized Colombian center Malvina D'Agostino (184-2001) accounted for 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Bolivian Romina Moreira (-1999) came up with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) added 8 points respectively for Montmartre in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Montmartre will play against Riachuelo LR in La Rioja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
