Regular Season Round 6: Puerto Montt - Los Leones 76-91

Undefeated leader Los Leones delivered the fifth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they beat 10th ranked Puerto Montt (2-4) 91-76. Los Leones forced 19 Puerto Montt turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Los Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American Tyrone Lee (203-1990, college: GVSU) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Tomas Alvarez (185-1989) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Argentinian forward Facundo Gonzalez (-1999) who recorded 16 points and Felipe Bartsch (-2001) added 19 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Los Leones (5-0) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 5 victories in a row. Puerto Montt at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with Las Animas. Los Leones are looking forward to face Catolica (#14) in Santiago in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Puerto Montt will play on the road against Ancud (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
