Very expected game when 11th ranked Castro (1-3) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Concepcion (4-0) 87-74 on Sunday. Concepcion forced 19 Castro turnovers. The former international Kevin Rubio (192-2000) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Sebastian Carrasco (180-2000) chipped in 15 points and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was Ecuadorian center Bryan Carabali (212-1999) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks and Vicente Guaico (-1994) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Concepcion have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 4-0 record behind leader Los Leones. Loser Castro dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost.
