Regular Season Round 13: Giants - Zulu MM 123-60

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Nassau: Giants (#1) and Zulu MM (#5). Giants (7-1) crushed visiting Zulu MM (0-8) by 63 points 123-60. Giants dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Zulu MM's 24. Giants forced 23 Zulu MM turnovers and outrebounded them 57-27 including a 38-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Zulu MM's players. Adam Johnson nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and swingman Dylan Musgrove (190, college: Southeastern) accounted for 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Giants players scored in double figures. Judino Wilson came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and John Bryant added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Zulu MM in the defeat. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Giants. They maintain first place with 7-1 record. Zulu MM lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Giants will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zulu MM's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Rebels.
