Regular Season Round 27: Gimnasia - Independ.O. 84-70

Very expected game when 14th ranked Independ.O. (11-11) lost to fourth ranked Gimnasia (17-6) in Comodoro Rivadavia 70-84 on Saturday. Gimnasia looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Agustin Barreiro (205-1999) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Sebastian Orresta (188-1993) accounted for 10 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Salvador Giletto (195-1993) came up with 9 points and 8 rebounds and guard Agustin Pautasso (192-1997) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Independ.O. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gimnasia moved-up to second place, which they share with Obera. Newly promoted Independ.O. dropped to the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
