Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Independiente (13-9) defeated on the road 13th ranked Jachal (7-14) 89-81 on Sunday. Independiente looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The winners were led by guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and forward Lucio Castellani (196-1994) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Pablo Aaron (199-2000) did not help to save the game for Jachal. Power forward Nicolas Gimenez (203-1994, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Independiente have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-9 record. Jachal lost fourth consecutive game.
