Regular Season Round 32: Lanus - Quilmes MP 90-79
Date: February 6, 2023
There was no surprise when 9th ranked Quilmes MP (9-11) lost to sixth ranked Lanus (13-7) in Buenos Aires 79-90 on Monday. The winners were led by power forward Santiago Bruera (206-1998, college: FAU, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Phil Bledsoe (198, college: GSC) supported him with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lanus' coach Sebastian Saborido used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds by forward Tomas Nally (202-2002, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Quilmes MP. The former international point guard Luis Cequeira (179-1985) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lanus moved-up to fifth place. Quilmes MP lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Lanus will meet at home Rocamora (#7) in the next round. Quilmes MP will have a break next round.
