Regular Season Round 32: Pergamino - Villa Mitre 80-73

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Villa Mitre (7-12) lost on the road to tenth ranked Pergamino (10-12) 80-73 on Friday. The winners were led by swingman Federico Gobetti (192-1999) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Manuel Gomez (183-1996) supported him with 11 points and 8 assists. Five Pergamino players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by center Juan Bollo (203-1992) did not help to save the game for Villa Mitre. Point guard Jano Martinez (180-2003) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pergamino moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Montmartre. Villa Mitre lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. Pergamino will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Villa Mitre will play against Lanus (#5) and hope to secure a win.
