Regular Season Round 32: La Union - Zarate Basket 85-98

Very expected game when 8th ranked La Union (10-13) lost to third ranked Zarate Basket (17-7) in Colon 85-98 on Friday. Zarate Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Agustin Brocal (191-1997) who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Lucas Andujar (185-1996) supported him with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals. Four Zarate Basket players scored in double figures. Zarate Basket's coach Juan Anglese used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 21 points by forward Cesar Lavoratornuovo (189-1991) did not help to save the game for La Union. Center German Frencia (202-1988) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Zarate Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ciclista. La Union lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Villa S.Martin. Zarate Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Union will play against Parque Sur (#17) in Concepcion de Urug. and hope to secure a win.
